One of the UK capital’s biggest annual cycling sportive sees 2,500 riders making a loop around London, and also through it in this 300km ride taking place over just one weekend. You can take your time and kick back at festival camp at halfway, or go for the Ultra and ride the whole 300km in one day, Gulp. A perfect opportunity to crack out the cycling tech.

A triathlon with a twist: Quest Wales
Date: 8 June 2019
Quest Wales is a triathlon with a difference, instead of your bog standard triathlon set up of swim, cycle, run, this one-day multi-adventure sports race – which starts and finishes in the village of Betws-y-Coed in Northern Wales – is made up of a run, cycle, and kayak! Taking place across the mountains and valleys to challenge attendees in a way they’re probably not used to, Quest Wales is a great opportunity to really put all your wearables through their paces.
You can choose from three routes, with one to suit all levels of fitness, the 53km Expert, 42km Sport & 25km Challenge. Kayaks are provided as part of the entry fee, too. Not sure if you’ll find “kayak” mode on your smartwatch, though.

Escape the world just one hour outside London: The Escape by Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire

Set within 500 acres and surrounded by 1,000 years of history, you’d never guess the Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire and the estate on which it sits is just one hour out of London. That’s probably why the esteemed hotel brand figured this branch was a perfect venue to host an event like ‘The Escape’, a new fitness retreat that is said to “push the boundaries” of those in attendance, allowing them to “achieve results they never thought possible”.
With up to 12 hours of training, three hours of spa treatments, breakfasts, healthy lunches and dinners, all included over a two nights stay, “Escape” will undoubtedly feel like a mini-fitness retreat, just without the stressful long distance traveling either side.
